🕴A Performance so good we had to do it twice

S.T.A.R. students kicked off the month with a bang! In celebration of Black History Month, they delivered a remarkable performance that left the audience wanting more. The encore show took the crowd through key moments in history, highlighted important Black inventions, and featured dance performances that stole the spotlight.

Dock St. School – A message from Sanette 📣

Spring is in full swing here at Dock St.! The sunshine has brought a burst of positive energy, and it's fueling some amazing spring projects. The Robotics and STEM clubs are crafting impressive robots and 3D laser-printed models, while our media team is busy documenting all of the clubs' efforts for their upcoming documentary and photo presentations.

Our Self-Care Series/Cosmetology Club has also hit the ground running. They’ve begun journaling, filling their affirmations jar, and embracing the concepts of self-care, self-worth, and wellness. They’re learning how to apply these ideas to their daily lives to become the happiest and healthiest versions of themselves. We’re excited to share all that we’ve accomplished—and all that we continue to work on—with the rest of the BCCP community soon!

W.A.T.C.H

Last month, we shared that our fashion students at W.A.T.C.H. would be taking a field trip to FIT. We're excited to follow up with images from their visit to A Cabinet of Curiosities, where they explored the fascinating connections between Cabinets of Curiosities and the world of fashion.

Our Art students are currently collaborating with Program Director Iliana on a 3-day workshop titled Fragments of a Home. This immersive experience delves into immigrant stories through language, using poetry, visual arts, and bookbinding. We can’t wait to share the final outcomes!

Photography Club Update 🎞

The Photography Club at CRMS is in full swing! With the guidance of teaching artist Gerard Allison, our students are discovering the full potential of their cameras. This month, they focused on portraiture, practicing with each other as models and photographers. A big shoutout to our talented models and photographers: Khloe, Syrai, Ayele, Zayne, Everett, and Jvel!

Basketball Update ⛹️‍♀️

Sometimes you win some, sometimes you lose some – but it matters that you tried.

This month the CRMS girls basketball team faced Hebrew Language in the Championships. Hebrew Language took home the win, with a score of 16-21.

Our girls still did an exceptional job this season with an overall record of 11-2, finishing in second place! A Huge thank you to Coach Kelly! The team brings it every season and we can't wait to see what next year has in store. 🏀

🐶 Robeson Students Take the Vet

In one of our latest and most exciting developments, Program Director Sashane secured an internship partnership with Heart of Brooklyn Veterinary Clinic for our students. This incredible opportunity allows students to dive into the inner workings of the clinic and gain hands-on experience.
